A few things you should know
The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive! The location is perfect for exploring local dining spots and shopping.
The room had some cleanliness issues like a dusty window sill and a crooked toilet, which might be off-putting for some.

Great budget option with friendly staff
I had a pleasant stay for one night in a Deluxe Queen Room. The room was clean and comfortable, and the location was perfect for exploring nearby restaurants and coffee shops. The staff was very welcoming and went out of their way to ensure we had a great experience. However, a small coffee maker in the room would have been a nice touch.

would definitely book again
The deluxe queen room was clean and fresh, with hardwood floors. Loved having a microwave and refrigerator for snacks. The air conditioning kept it cool. The bathroom had nice toiletries. Plus, the gym facilities were great for a quick workout. Super convenient location near cafes and the university.

I had a pretty decent stay at Sterling Inn. Ed, the manager, was super friendly and remembered me from my last visit. The Deluxe Queen Room featured clean and modern decor. Loved the USB charging ports and the refrigerator in the room, perfect for storing snacks. The bed was quite comfortable, which made for good sleeping. Parking felt safe, too, which is always a plus. However, the shower pressure left a lot to be desired. If you like a strong shower, this might not be the best place for you. A small coffee maker would have been nice in the room as well. Overall, a solid place for a quick getaway, though I wish the shower was more powerful.

missingWrote a review on Jun 07unique showergood value
It was just a solid selection for a day tour in Santa Clara with very good value for money. The shower setup was a bit odd with no door, leaving me feeling cold while rinsing off. Just be aware of potential noise from other guests above you.

missingWrote a review on May 20uncomfortable mattress
However, the mattress was uncomfortable, which was a letdown for a three-night stay. A notable downside was a significant gap at the bottom of the door, leading to some noise leakage, particularly from the renovation work happening just outside our room. While the room was sizable, it lacked any nice furniture or ambiance, feeling quite bare. Plus, the heater was extremely loud and added to the overall discomfort, making it hard to get a good night's rest during winter. Lastly, a used disposable razor found under the bed wasn't the best sight, despite the bathroom's clean rainhead shower.

Had an awesome getaway with my friends! We loved visiting the nearby restaurants and checking out the local coffee shops. The room was clean, and the amenities made our stay comfortable. It's a great value for the price. Just a heads up, if you're upstairs, be ready for some creaky floor sounds.
The floor in the restroom felt a bit unstable, which was slightly concerning.

good stay but some room for improvement
The parking area was spacious and easy to access. Ed the Manager made my stay special by lending me his coffee maker, as the rooms lack one. I appreciated the close proximity to various restaurants and found the city view from my room quite delightful.
